SRCoC is a young church located in the rapidly growing southern districts of Perth, Western Australia. The Church is located on the campus of Thornlie Christian Collage and the current fellowship is approximately 70 people of varying ethnic backgrounds and ages.
Our church currently offers a number of varying ministries with the potential for a vibrant and growing children’s and youth ministry. Both men and women serve in leadership roles throughout the church.
This is an amazing ministry opportunity for a person with a calling in their life to serve and lead as a pastor, have a healthy prayer life, a supportive family and the ability to teach from the guidance and direction of the Holy Spirit, inspired by the infallible word of God to a growing and multi-cultural, primarily English speaking community, committed to the centrality and supremacy of Jesus Christ.
Attributes our church values in a pastor are a warm, open personality, a good communicator and listener and a shepherd for our congregation. The pastor should be able to communicate their faith and message in an engaging, motivational and concise manner. Being a new church the pastor will also be required to take on a strong organisational and administrative role and lead the development of the church in all aspects of its mission.
We seek a person who preferably possesses or currently be completing formal theological training from an accredited Institution with a fully compatible statement of faith to Churches of Christ and have at least 3-5 years of pastoral experience. The person must be able to fully embrace the values of Churches of Christ and SRCoC. It is expected that the successful candidate is accredited or will seek accreditation through the Churches of Christ WA.
This position will initially be a part time role with a desire to transition to full time as the church fellowship develops.
Closing Date for Application: 30th September 2014, 5pm (wst).
Conditions of Employment including hours, remuneration and relocation expenses will be discussed with the successful candidate and reviewed annually to align these with the Church’s financial capacity.
