Southern River Church of Christ (SRCoC) is was seeking a full time Senior Pastor. Applications have now closed.

We are located on the campus of Thornlie Christian College with a current weekly fellowship of approximately 70 people of varying ethnic backgrounds and ages.

We have set our direction as a ‘Deep Church’, desiring deep truth, deep passion and deep impact.

We hold to the deep truth of scripture, leading to a deep passion, allowing God to use us to bring deep impact into the lives around us. We are a young church, initially planted by Thornlie Church of Christ in October 2012 and becoming independently incorporated towards the end of 2016.

We seek a warm, open pastor who is a good listener, communicator and shepherd for our congregation.

We seek someone who has a healthy prayer life, a supportive family and the ability to teach from the Word of God through the guidance and direction of the Holy Spirit, committed to the centrality and supremacy of Jesus Christ.

The pastor should be able to communicate their faith and message in an engaging, motivational and concise manner. A strong organisational and administrative approach will also be required from time to time to lead the development of the church in all aspects of its mission.

We seek a person who preferably possesses, or is currently completing, formal theological training from an accredited Institution fully compatible with Churches of Christ and at least 5 years of pastoral experience. The person must be able to fully embrace the values of Churches of Christ and the statement of faith of SRCoC. It is expected that the successful candidate is accredited or will seek accreditation through the Churches of Christ WA (CoCWA). Information about accreditation is available at the CoCWA website.

Conditions of Employment including hours, remuneration and relocation expenses will be discussed with the successful candidate and reviewed annually to align these with the Church’s financial capacity. Salary will be in line with Churches of Christ Ministry Salary Guidelines.
